Why install Polyester in your ceiling?

Once you've decided to insulate your home, there's another decision to make - what type of insulation?

Most people aren't aware that there are different types of insulation material. Broadly, you can choose from fibreglass, wool,
polyester, polystyrene boards, loose fill (from shredded material), cellulose fibre (from recycled paper) and material backed by foil.

Blue Sky insulation is made from 100% polyester fibres, and polyester makes excellent insulation material
because polyester fibres;
• are naturally non-irritant, non toxic and odourless
• are naturally dust free and release no respiritable fibres
• will not rot, attract mould or mildew or deteriorate
• will not attract insect or vermin
• tend to shrink away from flames and self-extinguish upon ignition
• produce batts that comply with all Australian Standards and the Building Code of Australia
